Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of htmlhost.co (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.

The service

htmlhost.co lets you build, edit and host websites. A site can have many pages plus its own stylesheets, scripts, images, fonts and other files, served from an htmlhost.co address or your own domain. You can create and manage sites in the browser editor, with the built-in AI, by cloning a page from a URL, from templates, or from the terminal and your own tools through the CLI, REST API and MCP server. The Service also includes form handling for your sites, a media library, and file transfers.

You need an account to publish. What each plan includes (sites, pages, storage, how long sites stay online, AI usage, form messages and more) is described on the pricing page and in the documentation. Sites go offline when the lifetime you chose for them ends.

Your account

  • You’re responsible for keeping your credentials and API tokens secure, including tokens you give to AI tools, scripts or CI services.
  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to create an account.
  • One person or entity per account. Don’t share logins, and don’t create extra accounts to get around plan limits.
  • You’re responsible for everything done under your account, including by collaborators you invite and by tools acting with your token.

Your content

You retain ownership of everything you upload or create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, serve and display your content as needed to operate it. That includes sending content to our AI providers when you use AI features.

You’re responsible for the content you publish. You represent that you own it or have permission to publish it, and that it doesn’t violate anyone’s rights or any law.

Cloning and imports.Only clone or import pages you own or have permission to copy. Copying another site’s text, images, branding or design can infringe its owner’s rights, and passing off a copy as the original is prohibited.

AI features

  • AI can generate and edit your sites. Its output can be wrong, incomplete or similar to existing material, so review it before you publish. You’re responsible for what you publish, whoever or whatever wrote it.
  • Built-in AI usage is limited by your plan. If you use your own provider key, it stays in your browser and your use is also governed by that provider’s terms.
  • Stock photos added to generated sites come from third-party libraries such as Pexels and Unsplash and are subject to their licenses. Keep the photo credits we add.

Forms and visitor data

When your site collects form messages, you decide what to collect and what to do with it, and we store and deliver messages on your behalf. You’re responsible for:

  • Having a lawful reason to collect what you ask for, and telling visitors how you’ll use it, for example in a privacy notice on your site.
  • Only adding people as form recipients who expect to receive messages.
  • Where messages go after they leave us, such as a webhook, a Google Sheet or an automation service you connect.

Forms can’t collect passwords, payment card numbers or similar credentials. We refuse those fields to protect your visitors.

File transfers

Files you send with htmlhost transfers must follow these terms like any other content. Transfer links expire, after which the files are deleted. Peer-to-peer transfers go directly between devices and aren’t stored by us.

Acceptable use

You may not use htmlhost.co to publish, send or distribute:

  • Phishing pages, fake login screens, or deceptive content impersonating other services.
  • Forms or pages that collect passwords, payment details or other credentials under false pretenses.
  • Malware, exploit kits, drive-by downloads, or browser exploits.
  • Cryptocurrency miners, drainers, or hidden wallet-draining scripts.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Reported to NCMEC and law enforcement, no exceptions.
  • Content that incites violence, harassment, or illegal activity.
  • Material that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights.
  • Spam, SEO link farms, or affiliate cloaking pages.
  • Pornography or sexually explicit content.
  • Unsolicited tracking, fingerprinting, or surveillance scripts.

You also may not abuse the Service: bypass rate limits or plan limits, scrape at scale, attempt to access other users’ data, reverse engineer the Service, use it to send spam, or interfere with its operation. This applies whether you act directly or through the editor, AI features, the API, the CLI or an AI agent.

Enforcement and appeals

We may suspend, remove or refuse to host any site, transfer or account, and suspend or permanently ban any account, at our discretion, with or without notice. This includes when we believe content violates these terms, while we investigate a report, when the law or a valid legal request requires it, and when content puts visitors, other users or the Service at risk. That includes the risk of htmlhost.co being blocked by browsers, email providers or security services.

Suspending an account also takes its sites offline and revokes its access, including API tokens. Repeat or flagrant violations result in permanent bans. You may not create a new account to get around a suspension or ban. To report a site, use the report link in its htmlhost banner or email us.

If we suspend your account, we’ll email you where we can. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email or write to hey@htmlhost.co from your account’s email address and explain why. We review every appeal and reply with our decision.

We comply with valid legal requests, including DMCA takedowns. Send notices to hey@htmlhost.co.

Plans, billing, and refunds

  • Pro is paid in advance for one month or one year. When the period ends, your account returns to Free limits unless you renew.
  • Custom domain add-ons are paid in advance for one to five years. When one ends, the domain stops showing your site unless you renew.
  • Payments are processed by our payment providers (Stripe or Paystack). We don’t store your card details.
  • Refunds are at our discretion. We generally refund within 14 days of a charge if you haven’t used the plan substantially.
  • If we suspend or terminate your account for breaking these terms, you won’t get a refund for any unused time on Pro or custom domain add-ons. If your appeal succeeds, your account and its plan are restored.
  • Prices may change. A new price applies to your next purchase or renewal, not to a period you’ve already paid for.

Service availability

We aim to keep the Service running, but we don’t guarantee uptime. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue features at any time. If we shut down a feature your sites depend on, we’ll give reasonable notice when we can.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, htmlhost.co is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify htmlhost.co against claims arising from your content or your violation of these terms.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. Closing it takes your sites offline and deletes them. We can suspend or terminate your account, or stop providing the Service to you, at any time for the reasons described under Enforcement and appeals, for non-payment, or if we stop offering the Service. An account ended for breaking these terms isn’t refunded (see Plans, billing, and refunds). Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, limitations, indemnity) will survive.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
