Common questions

Nonprofit and community website questions

Read the documentation
What should a nonprofit or community website include?

Explain who the group serves, what it does and how someone can take part. Add upcoming activities, useful resources, a contact page and a volunteer interest form. Add links to your community chat, mailing list or donation service.

Can our group start with a free site?

Yes. Start on the Free plan with a hosted site and connected forms. Sites do not expire by default. Check the pricing page for current site, storage and form allowances.

Can members sign in or post to a forum?

Use your existing community platform for individual accounts, discussion and member management, and link to it from the site. Pro's site password is shared access, not a membership system.

Can we accept donations?

Link to your donation provider's hosted payment page, or use its supported embed. The provider handles payment details and receipts; your htmlhost site explains the work and how people can support it.
